7 Tips to Improve Sales through Fitness!

So you may be asking, how will fitness improve my sales?! Well, believe it or not the two are closely related. In order to be a successful salesperson you must be driven, disciplined and focused. You need good time management skills while having the energy to get you through long days.  This is what it takes to be successful in your health and fitness journey and these are our top tips to get you there! 

Tip # 1 – Pick a time of day to workout and stick to it!

Time blocking your workouts each day is important and scheduling it in your calendar is crucial for staying committed to a fitness regimen…

Opt for morning workouts. Not everyone is a morning person, but for those of you who are, a morning workout is a great way to start your day and get you charged up to kick ass for the day! When you workout in the morning you will find it gets your day started off right. While everyone else is trying to wake up you’ll get energized from your morning workouts. Early bird gets the worm!

How about evening workouts? Some people like evening workouts because after a long stressful day it’s a great way to get a second wind to finish those last to do’s for the day, relieve stress and relax for a better night’s sleep!

Tip # 2 – Be Prepared! 

Pack for the next day each night. Having your workout clothes laid out the night before will put you in the mindset to be ready for your morning workout. This will also eliminate the unwanted stress and excuses that come from not being prepared.

Tip #3 – Don’t go hungry, Stay Hungry! 

As salespeople we all know that it’s easy to let the day slip away and not eat. This is usually what leads us to BAD CHOICES! Healthy choices suffer when we feel rushed. We may be more likely to opt for a quick donut stop, grab an unhealthy snack from the vending machine or run through a fast food drive thru.  We are not at our best when we are starving because we are low on energy. Losing energy will take that winning edge away. That’s why I say, don’t go hungry, stay hungry! Supply your body with the energy needed to close deals! Meal prep is a great solution and excellent way to ensure that you are fueling your body with the right nutritious choices. 

Tip # 4 – Make it convenient! 

Make sure that you find a gym that is located near your home or work so it is easy to get to! The longer the drive the more you can convince yourself not to go. This goes for eating as well. Meal prep is again an important part because the food is ready and you don’t have to think. Prepping these healthy meals will encourage you to stick to a healthy diet. 

Tip # 5 – You do have time! 

One of the most common excuses for not working out is, “I DON’T HAVE TIME”….

Create the time for your workouts by time blocking your day and making sure you treat your workout like an important doctors appointment.
