WHEN IT COMES TO FITNESS AND EVEN OTHER GOALS PROGRESSING REALLY COMES DOWN TO STAYING MOTIVATED.
So, how do you do it?
Well, everyone is different but we all have needs and expectations of ourselves and the way people view us. Sometimes we are aware of these needs and sometimes we are not.
HERE ARE MY TIPS TO STAY MOTIVATED AND KEEP PROGRESSING.
TIP # 1 :DON’T BE HARD ON YOURSELF! SERIOUSLY, ENJOY THE JOURNEY.
I can’t express enough how important it is to let go of an end result. This doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t have an end result. You definitely should have a set goal and visual clarity on what that goal will look like.
Once you have yours goals and a visual idea of what you desire then the process is merely about taking action and staying in motion. Let the end result go. Why? Because progress doesn’t happen overnight. Often times, it doesn’t happen when we like. However, it will happen and that is all you need to know.
The mind is so powerful that whatever you feed it you will be drawn to it by the subconscious pull.
TIP #2 : SET GOALS
Know what you want and create what you desire through goal setting. A goal is the starting point of motivation. You must write your goals down. If they are merely in your mind they can slip through the cracks that are created with daily to do’s. Make a list of goals without restrictions and keep that list at hand and in sight throughout the day.
TIP #3 : GET CLEAR AND VISUALIZE
Visualizing turns your goals into reality. Visualizing is not something our conscious brain always understands and that’s ok because this is when the journey becomes awesome. You literally witness the power of intention. That is motivating! To see something you plant, a seed of success sprout without your conscious control or effort.
Either write your journey to the end result with key bullet points that encrypt a clear vision of the end result. Or, create a vision board and look it as often as you can. It’s the law of least effort. Yet produces awesome results. Just take action and create your vision.
TIP # 4 :PLAN ACCORDINGLY
A goal without a plan is merely a wish. Creating a plan, an agenda, a timeline is crucial. This is how we stay on-track and even motivated. This doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to be rigid. In fact, being flexible is often times more achievable. The point in planning is to get it in your mind. If you shoot to train in the AM at 6am but don’t make then go when time allows it just make sure it happens that day. You have 24 hours to get in an hour workout – make it happen. That is is only 4% of your entire day.
Tip #5 : STEADY ACTION
Once you have the these tips in place the mind is your rocket ship to success. Just go with steady action. Be patient with your progress. Be truthful with your doubts. Acknowledge your concerns and disbelief so you can have full awareness and the ability to let them go. Say thank you fears, I’m good to go without you.
Each and every day will produce something of value. Whether you see it in the same day isn’t of your concern. Just enjoy the journey.
